Thanks to all of you who came along to support this year's
Taste Sensation 08
event on Sunday, 21st September. We have had some
wonderful feedback and the weather could not have been
better! We are interested in your comments to help us plan
for future events and have included this quick on line
feedback form for you
to complete and e-mail back.

Taste Sensation has adopted
Trafford Diabetes Centre as its charity for
2008 and their support and self help group will be on hand
with some useful information.
Entertainment: In addition to the 40s style entertainment at the event,
there will also be jazz band sounds around the town. The
band will be entertaining Sunday shoppers courtesy of The
Stamford Quarter. Altrincham’s businesses also look
forward to welcoming you on 21st September and Sundays
throughout the year when a number of businesses are open
and parking is free on street and in Council owned car
parks.
Food Through the Ages: The Graftons Shopping
Centre on George Street in Altrincham is hosting a
fascinating exhibition from now until 22nd September to
complement the Taste Sensation 08 event. The exhibition
gives some interesting insights into how people’s tastes
and what they eat have altered over time to reflect key
historic times, greater availability of ingredients,
changing lifestyles and appreciation of different
cuisines. There are also recipes for some of the most
popular dishes of the different decades and a panel
devoted to Wartime to fit in with the 40s theme. The
exhibition is on loan from the People’s History Museum’s
collection.
So join us on Battle of Britain
Sunday to enjoy some great food and drink to a 40’s
soundtrack and bring your dancing shoes if you want to
join in the jiving!
