Honey Braised Celery and Carrots
Ingredients
1 head of celery, trimmed and cut into matchsticks
8oz carrots, cut into matchsticks
1oz butter
2tbsp honey
1tbsp water
1 tbsp chopped chives fresh or 1 tsp dried
1 tsp dried marjoram
salt & pepper
1tsp fresh chopped parsley
Method
- Put vegetables in a casserole dish. Dot the butter
over, spoon over the honey and water. Sprinkle over the
chives and marjoram and season. Cover with clingfilm,
pierce and cook in a microwave on full power for 10
minutes – stirring halfway through. Stand for 5 minutes
and sprinkle with the parsley before serving.
